Campus d’Art Review

Campus D'Art 3

Through the years in Second Life® there have been few places I have come to personally admire as the Campus d’Art. It has been the passion of Cecilia Delacroix to piece together this gem of education, history and culture of the great artists of our time.

The Campus d’Art comprises a large 4 story museum and 20+ other separate buildings, which are set up to specifically focus on certain artists and their most influential works.  There are also Second Life® artists featured within their respective mediums for you to explore.

The Campus d’Art sim is beautifully landscaped and designed to be easily navigable. Each building has a welcoming entrance that provides information on the current exhibit on display. There are many terraces and places to sit to enjoy the water canals that criss-cross throughout the sim. The  Campus d’Art rivals just about any real life arts district you would visit, and in my opinion, serves as a pinnacle of what most other galleries should aspire to design-wise. No details have been spared to make the experience as enjoyable as possible. Campus d’Art also features a park, concert hall, and coffeehouse for events and private social meetings. Campus D'Art 2

With over 900 paintings, photographs and sculptures, you are sure to find a new found love for an artist whom you might have not known, if it were not for Cecilia Delacroix using the medium of Second Life® to bring these experiences and opportunities to a wider audience. The Campus d’Art has been a work in progress for over 5 years and solely supported by Cecilia Delacroix.  Please come by and see the current exhibits and get in touch with the artist within you.
