“SicLit” (sic = goad, egg on, drive, encourage, prod, spur, provoke ) is a brand new prompt challenge for writers.

Every Saturday we post a time and place prompt together with a verb, an adjective, an adverb and a noun. You write something using the words as inspiration.

When you’ve created your story either share it as a comment at the end of this post or join our blog hop and bring a little exposure to your own site.

To join the blog hop simply publish your piece on your own blog then come back and post a link to your contribution with the linky below (be sure to link to the post in question and not simply your blog url). Once you have added your name to the list grab the linky code and paste it into your post – an identical list will then appear on your site enabling readers to hop from blog to blog.

Try to use all prompt words within your story. Go, sic ‘em!

This week’s “SicLit” prompts are:

Gobi Desert, 3099; bomb, powerful, brightly, solar flare

Siberia, 2013; flower, sparkling, seldom, summer

“SicLit” (sic = goad, egg on, drive, encourage, prod, spur, provoke ) is a brand new prompt challenge for writers.

Each week we post a time and place prompt together with a verb, an adjective, an adverb and a noun.

Moon Garden, 2199; glow, cloistered, rarely, bloom

“SicLit” (sic = goad, egg on, drive, encourage, prod, spur, provoke ) is a brand new prompt challenge for writers.

Each week we post a time and place prompt together with a verb, an adjective, an adverb and a noun.

Hades, 2099; escape, defeated, mortally, angel

We have much pleasure in announcing The Judas Kiss Virtual Book Tour, beginning Monday April 29th and continuing through to midnight on Saturday May 11th, 2013 . This well-received urban fantasy has garnered some wonderful reviews: “The different tales, switching points of view, and Makabi’s written tale was superbly handled. I was taken with how real she made every single one of those historical settings. I know I’ve said it before, but it was truly incredible how so very real she made everyone, particularly in Makabi’s gospel. Nothing was stilted or stylized, and everyone was so beautifully human. If for no other reason, read The Judas Kiss for those chapters. No matter your creed (or absence of one), you can read this for the flavor, the richness, and the genuine passion and pain in Makabi’s voice. It lends an ocean of depth to Mark’s character. Being unable to ever go insane, given what he’s lived through, is a version of hell made all the more tangible when he makes his childhood –so long ago– *that* real for the reader.” Delena Silverfox

As well as attending all tour stops, Angella will be doing a one-hour Tweetup with us, where she will share some of her writing secrets and publishing tips on Twitter. Angella will also be awarding ten copies of her book to ten randomly drawn commenters. To increase your chances of winning, stop by each of the scheduled stops and leave a comment. Please see below for full tour itinerary.

We have also set up event pages on Facebook and Goodreads so you can be sure to keep up to date with all the fun events.
Just as Detective Ben Stanford is ready to put the past at rest, he’s pulled down once again into the chaos of gods, theology, and mystery. Told that his sister is alive and the two immortals, Mark and Judas, have been kidnapped by the treacherous goddess, Nike, Ben must find a way to rescue the pair before she can harness their powers.

While Mark waits alone, forced to write out the story of how their powers came to be, and Judas lay tortured by the angry Goddess, a reluctant Ben must enlist the help of an unwilling being from the ancient Norse Pantheon.

Time is ticking, and the hard-headed detective must use everything he learned in the past to prevent another disaster, which could potentially wipe-out the human race.

“SicLit” (sic = goad, egg on, drive, encourage, prod, spur, provoke ) is a brand new prompt challenge for writers.

Each week we post a time and place prompt together with a verb, an adjective, an adverb and a noun.

Hastings, 1066; march, obedient, mortally, drum

“SicLit” (sic = goad, egg on, drive, encourage, prod, spur, provoke ) is a brand new prompt challenge for writers.

Each week we post a time and place prompt together with a verb, an adjective, an adverb and a noun.

London Eye, 2013; hang, wide-eyed, coolly, kiss

We have much pleasure in announcing the Cassandra by Starlight Virtual Book Tour, beginning Saturday April 20th and continuing through to midnight on Wednesday May 1st, 2013 . The romance/suspense novel set in London has been incredibly well-received and has garnered some wonderful reviews: “Cassandra by Starlight” is a beautifully written romance novel that will keep you reading until the end. Between the twists, turns, ups and downs of the well written plot, Susan Mac Nicol keeps her characters realistic in her debut novel. I fell in love with this story and recommend it to all romance fans.” My Cozie Corner

As well as attending all tour stops, Susan will be doing a one-hour Tweetup with us, where she will share some of her writing secrets and publishing tips on Twitter. Susan will also be awarding a selection of her published novels to a randomly drawn commenter during the tour. To increase your chances of winning, stop by each of the scheduled stops and leave a comment. Please see below for full tour itinerary.

Falling in love makes Cassie Wallace’s everyday and normal life much more complicated that she’d ever thought it could be.

Being an independent and somewhat unconventional woman, she’d never intended to fall head over heels for a handsome, charming and younger man, one who lived a life she’d only ever imagined before on the big screen.

But Bennett Saville, up and coming star of theatre and film and filthy rich to boot, was one such man. From the tips of his shiny Armani loafers to the auburn curls on his head, he turns Cassie’s world upside down. From their initial tragic meeting to the dangers that threaten them both as their relationship grows more intense, Cassie finds herself a willing participant in Bennett’s world. She learns about a life in show business and living with a man who is constantly on show to the world – not to mention having to face the fact that women throw themselves at him with regular abandon.

Cassie embraces the challenges as only she can, in her usual feisty fashion, lending humour and compassion to their developing relationship. And when violence and fear comes calling for them both, it takes the two of them to hold the dangers at bay and face the events together.
